As I’ve said already, no amount of keyboard smashing -or gifs- can express the immense joy I feel about this. Yes, his origin story will probably be different in the cartoon, but you know what? That’s okay! (However, Ask Saint Walker will probably continue to adhere to the comic origin/continuity)

Sorely tempted to draw Bro’Dee in this outfit now. I just wish there was a clearer image of it. WAH.

I’m… sorry? Nope, I’m not actually sorry because everyone needs to know about it! ALL the Lanterns, ALL the Corps! (Well, okay, not really, I haven’t heard anything about the Sinestro Corps and the Indigo Tribe, but that could change.)

I’m just kinda like, flailing.

Sinestro and the Sinestro Corps were put on an embargo because of the live-action movie. Timm and Volpe (the showrunners) are not ruling out something for season 2, but I wouldn’t expect to see anything related to them for another year/season yet.

Indigo Tribe they haven’t said a word about. Some people are theorizing that the space*octopus that’s attacking the Interceptor in some stills from Animation Magazine might be Proselyte, but it’s way too early to say for sure.

I, for one, am glad that they’re focusing on bad guys who aren’t Sinestro for a change (we’re even getting old school villains the Spider Guild, with their leader voiced by Robert ‘Freddy’ Englund, IIRC), because as cool as Sinestro is… he was getting a little tiresome as an antagonist in non-comic material, imho.

As much as I adore Sinestro, I don’t mind him getting a break. I don’t really want to see the Sinestro Corps stuff adapted to yet another medium. First Flight was cool, but it was enough. If he and his Corps show up I hope we’ll get to see new storylines explored with them.

As for that purple-bluish space octopus thingy, I did get very strong Proselyte vibes from it at first glance, but then again, it could be just a random monster of the week.
